Nutrition Coaching is BACK!

What is Nutrition Coaching?

After a short hiatus, Nutrition Coaching is BACK at CrossFit Frogman, and we are excited.

If you’re newer to the gym, you may be wondering, “What is Nutrition Coaching?” Or perhaps you’ve been a member a while, but haven’t had a chance to meet with one of our previous nutrition coaches. Either way, here’s everything you need to know.

The main objective is to support you as great nutrition becomes a part of your lifestyle. Nutrition coaching is not a “one size fits all approach.” In contrast to diet culture, we truly believe that the key to great nutrition and seeing results (whether that is weight loss, muscle mass, increased energy or whatever else you’re hoping to achieve) starts and ends with your habits.

With this in mind we focus on whole foods and take a habit-based approach to supporting you in reaching your goals. This kicks off with an initial consult with your nutrition coach. You two will talk all things nutrition: what yours currently looks like, your challenges, what your goals are, what success looks like and feels like for you, etc. You’ll get a baseline set of biometrics (InBody scan and measurements) and your coach will help you to create a specific plan for you that will work for YOUR schedule, and life!

Each month you’ll meet with your coach to review what’s going well, any challenges that are coming up and talk about steps moving forward to keep you on track toward your goal. We track progress using InBody scans as well as measurements. In between appointments, your coach is checking in each week and is always available to answer questions and offer support.

Now, for some frequently asked questions:

Do I need to cut out any food groups?

NO! We don’t believe in cutting out whole food groups…unless that’s something you really want to do. Instead we believe in focusing on whole foods as much as possible while enjoying your favorite treats from time to time.

Why is it a three-month commitment?

Getting started required a three-month commitment because establishing new habits doesn’t happen overnight. We want to support you in long-term success-not a quick fix, or seeing some short-lived results. Three months is the minimum amount of time it takes to establish a foundation of healthy habits that will set you up for a lifetime of great nutrition.  After the three months, you have the option to continue on a month-by-month basis.

Do I need to track my food?

Nope-not if you don’t want to! While tracking can be a really useful tool, you and your coach can work together to decide what will be support you and most importantly-what you can be consistent with, that fits into your life! If logging isn’t part of it (and for many-it’s not) that’s perfectly fine!

Is this for members only?

No. Nutrition coaching is available for both members and nonmembers.

I have a trip coming up-should I wait to get started until after?

“One day or day one. You decide.” We think there’s no better time to start than NOW. There will always be at trip, an event, a birthday, you name it. We will provide you with the tools to navigate these things so that you can enjoy yourself without feeling like your nutrition falls to the wayside.

Coach Denise and Coach Nicki both have 5 spots available for Nutrition Coaching beginning in January. If you want to secure one, click HERE or if you have questions, shoot either one of them an email (denise@weareresolutefit.com nicki@weareresolutefit.com).

Here’s to a new year of meeting and surpassing your goals!
